StratoSTAR by HIRO is a YouTube Channel, specializing in custom renditions of the Local On the 8s. Primarily focusing on the earlier graphical style(s) of the IntelliStar 2 HD. When referred to within The Weather Channel fan community, he simply goes by Hirokí.
Origin
The StratoSTAR by HIRO YouTube channel began at the end of May 2023, after having successfully rebuilt an IntelliStar 2 HD unit from the ground up, revitalizing its hardware and functionality the winter prior. After several months of trial and error, optimal stability was achieved, and the seeds of a dream were then planted. Hirokí had started dreaming and dreaming big, of a time in which Frutiger Aero meets the edgy Emo/Scene lifestyle via abrasive Alternative Rock/Punk tracks, with occasional references of TWC's prior playlists used circa 2008-2013. Thus 'Frutiger-Emo' was born, an unofficial sub-genre that Hirokí assembled to help provide the best of all worlds. Aero, Edginess, and Nostalgia. The naming scheme behind StratoSTAR by HIRO keeps somewhat with the continuity of The Weather Channel's naming scheme for the IntelliStar.

Present
At present, Hirokí continuously works hard to bring the viewers of the StratoSTAR by HIRO YouTube channel new content, with experimental designs, exclusive music edits/remixes, and memorable severe weather documentation if and when possible. Having extensive experience with VizRT software and system environments, Hirokí is usually baking up some new experimental visual style or functionality pushing the limits of the IntelliStar 2 HD hardware. However, pushing said hardware to and beyond the limits does not come without consequence as notably in the past there has been some hardware errors witnessed from time to time that has led to some rather questionable anomalies.
