Martin Mason Cornick (October 22, 1991 – October 30, 2015) was the second owner of TWC Today, the largest website for fans of The Weather Channel. Aside from his affiliation with the TWC fan community, he was employed at WVEC, the ABC affiliate for the Norfolk, Virginia, area.

Career

Cornick succeeded Gary Turner, Jr., founder of TWC Today, as owner of of the site, on April 28, 2009.

Death

Cornick passed away on October 30, 2015, at the age of 24 at his residence following an illness. The news of his death caused various forum members, many of which returned from inactivity caused by the perceived declining state of The Weather Channel at the time, to leave tributes in his memory on the site. The news also sparked concerns over the future of TWC Today; Cornick alone held the details for domain name billing and administrators were unsure of how long hosting for the site would run before expiration. Within the next few days, these concerns were cleared up and the site had been transitioned to a new domain name. Administrator cc17926 succeeded Cornick as the primary administrator and owner of the site in the aftermath, since he had been given access to the site's back-end operations prior to Cornick's death.
