Carl Parker

Carl Parker is an American meteorologist who is a Hurricane and Storm Specialist for the Weather Channel as of 2022, in addition to frequently covering climate topics.

Growing up in the Washington, DC area, Parker started his broadcasting career in 1991 at WTVA in Tupelo, Mississippi, while working on his BS in Geosciences at Mississippi State University. He later worked for WHTM and WHP in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where he covered the Storm of the Century in 1993. He moved to Houston in 1995, where he covered Hurricanes Georges and Opal for KPRC.[1]

Parker joined the Weather Channel in 1999, where he started as an On-Camera Meteorologist. In 2011, he became a Specialist, and currently appears during extended live programming and fill-in situations.[1]
