The Weather Channel Italy (Italian: Il Canale Meteo) was an Italian-language version of the Weather Channel in operation from March 14,1997 to January 1998.[1][2]

The channel operated on a 30-minute cycle, starting with general forecasts for Italy and Europe before moving onto regional outlooks for the regions of Italy. The cycle ended with brief world forecasts. The channel also aired live reports in times of severe weather, and short films on weather phenomena and its effect on humans. From 6 AM to 9 PM Italian time, the channel used on-air presenters; outside of those hours information was presented graphically.[3]
